Life after birth One month later, I find the time to sit down and write something here. I think there have been plenty of chances between April 23rd and now, but due to the extra toil in my life, I've not had the momentum to sit down and type something personal for more than a minute. I'm not denying I've had time to myself, with which I've done brainless things like play games or listen to music. There's also been the small matter of E3 to keep up with. Fortunately, I took a couple of weeks off work, so with the three days of paternity leave and Golden Week, I had about a month at home to help mother and baby. I guess it's fair to say the baby has been easier to look after than the mother for most of the time, which is to be expected really. It's hard to fathom how much stress the body is put under with a ten month pregnancy and then labour and delivery, even though I was there for every minute of it. I'm just happy they both made it through in one piece. So for the first month, I've been getting up every morning, making breakfast for mummy, giving junior a bath (mokuyoku), washing clothes, vacuuming, going to the supermarket, cooking dinner, washing dishes, changing nappies, making milk, with bits of brainless relaxation in between. Going back to work means a few changes to the schedule - I'm not responsible for making breakfast for mum anymore, and some of the things don't get done as often as before, but generally speaking, it still all needs to be done at some point. I hear it's a rollercoaster ride from here on, though, with time flying by, and junior changing day by day. It's rather exciting, and has untapped a hidden source of energy to keep me running on a very small amount of sleep. Game Science readers, take note. The site is not dead; it's just been neglected for a couple of weeks. I hope to have things back on track in the next week or so, so please bear with me.
